You’re probably here because you want to know more about me beyond my writing and I’d better fulfil that expectation. If you’re not here for that then… I guess… I should shut up now? Or you could just leave this page. That’s less embarrassing for us both.
In the outside world, I’m a 19-year-old English and Creative Writing Student at the University of Birmingham; on the inside, I’m a dreamer with a liberal amount of logic. What I mean by that is that I love to create (poems, short stories, novels, all for your consumption 🙂 ) but that I also like my portrayals to be realistic and true to life.
Over the years, I’ve become increasingly interested in the human condition (that is, human biology, psychology and culture) and for the most part my creative endeavours reflect this. Many of my poems are on the theme of mental health and I am currently working on a short story exploring our relationship with technology as well as a novel interrogating gender roles and race, both in connection with one another and not. I hope to contribute to societal thought on somewhat taboo topics, whether this be local, national or worldwide.
I believe these mini-autobiographies are supposed to be short and sweet so I’m going to wrap up now, but feel free to message me if you want to know more. I’d love to get to know my readers better!
